What is recycling? Today almost everyone knows the answer to this quastion. Of course, this is the process of separating, collecting and remanufacturing or converting used or waste products into new materials. The recycling process involves a series of steps to produce new products. But there are recycling tips there you can follow easily. Here is the list whick includes some of them:

1. Find a convenient place to collect recyclable items. Most things come from the kitchen, making it a good spot to set up a recycling center.

2. The great thing about recycling is that it lets you put your favorite old containers, bins, or baskets to use. Assign containers for glass, plastic, and aluminum. To avoid messes, choose solid containers for storing items such as glass jars or cans that may have a sticky residue.

3. Take leftover plastic bags back to grocery stores where they are collected and reused to make plastic lumber.

4. Check the bottom of plastic items to identify what type of plastic they are. If the type is not recycled at your local center, consider ways to reuse the container.

5. Save water and time when recycling cans and bottles. You no longer need to rinse them out or remove their labels.

6. Recycle junk mail or reuse it as scratch paper. To opt-out of certain junk-mailing lists, go to opt-out.cdt.org.

7. Newspapers, magazines, and white paper can all be recycled as long as the paper is clean and dry. Plastic wrap, stickers, or rubber bands should be removed, but staples and plastic window envelopes are OK.

8. Recycle worn-out rechargeable batteries like those used in cell phones, computers, or power tools. Go to www.rbrc.org to find a drop-off location in your area.

9. Divvy up recycling duties among family members and sort items on a daily basis.

10. Print out this list of commonly recycled materials. Post it where you recycle for easy access.

It’s reported that police forces across the UK are downsizing their fleet of patrol cars and equipment under a new programme designed to save on carbon and cash. A new four-year procurement scheme signed in October has come into effect, which means police forces must now downgrade their low-performance patrol car fleets to diesel-only Vauxhall Corsas, Ford Fiestas and Hyundai i30 and i20s.

Richard Flint, chairman of the National Association of Police Fleet Managers and head of transport at North Yorkshire Police, said the new changes have already generated a 50 percent reduction in day-to-day fuel costs.

He added: “We have just embarked on a national strategy to save on carbon and save money. There are new CO2 caps on all new vehicles in police force fleets and all marked cars must be diesel fuelled.

“This is primarily being driven by current austerity measures to lower costs by saving on fuel, maintenance and the whole-life cost of these vehicles, but it will also reduce our impact on the environment.

“The results in a very short space of time are very encouraging, we are saving as much as 50 percent on the cost of day-to-day fuelling. Previously, police vehicles were probably achieving around 20 miles to the gallon, now we have extended that to an average of 30 miles to the gallon.

“Police forces are now choosing much lower-sized engine models so whereas before a standard patrol car may have been powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine, we are now buying 1.3 litre diesel models.

“In hire car terms, it is the equivalent of downsizing from standard class to economy.”

Richard also stated that electric vehicles will not be added to police fleets for at least the next four years.

“Electric vehicles may make sense for the environment, but they certainly do not make economic sense at this time,” he explained.

“The technology just is not there for electric engines to be used in response vehicles and the whole-life cost of the models is too prohibitive for them to be used as ordinary patrol cars.”

In this modern world of technology, we need energy in different forms to do our work easily. We need these energy resources to produce electricity, to fuel our cars and for almost every type of work. There are two major sources of energy. One is renewable and other is non renewable. Non Renewable resources of energy are oil, gas, coal etc and renewable energy resources include wave power, solar energy, wind power etc. our non renewable resources of energy are getting less day by day, due to which it has become important for us, to find out ways for using renewable resources in an efficient way.

In recent years, much of the research has been done to use solar energy for different purposes. In this we basically use sunlight as a source of energy. This energy can be used to produce electricity, to run our cars and for many other purposes. This is very cheap except for the initial investment and everyone can use it. Nowadays car companies are designing cars that make use of the solar energy rather than petrol or gas. These cars are also good for environment as they do not create any pollution. The energy from sunlight can also be used to make saline water potable. It can also be used in heating, cooling and ventilation technologies.

The people are now using solar energy to produce electricity for their homes or offices. Solar energy advantages are that, it is cheap as you don’t have to pay for sunlight but the initial investment is little bit expensive. The best part is you don’t have to pay big bills for electricity. It is also good for people who live in countries where there is shortage of electricity and they have to face problems like load shedding.

The first thing that you will have to do in order to generate electricity through sunlight is to buy solar panels. This is a device that collects the solar radiations from sun and converts it into electrical energy. It is composed of several individual solar cells. The output of electricity from the solar panel depends on the quality and the quantity of solar cells used. They work in the same manner as large semiconductors.

Many solar energy companies are now working to use this renewable form of energy in an efficient way and to make it available to everyone.

So now we have what we have – changed climate, changed world and the most important the clear watet which is one of the based staff of life is also a big problem today. As you know, no water, no life. It is essential for all dimensions of life., it’s not necessary to life, but rather life itself. Every scholar knows that whater is H2O, hydrogen two parts, oxygen one, but actually nobody knows what that is.

Why am I writing about again and again? Because the facts are still unconsoling:

1.1 billion people don’t have safe water and 2.6 billion lack basic sanitation.

Dirty water and poor sanitation account for the vast majority of 1.8 million child deaths each year from diarrhea – almost 5,000 every day – making it the second largest cause of child mortality.

More than ever before many companies are taking their responsibilities to the environment seriously. Huge corporations are keen to draw attention to information about their reduced carbon foot print, and a whole industry has sprung up around the need for a professional approach to corporate social responsibility.

In smaller businesses employees are being asked to consider the environment and make conscientious choices about the resources they are using on a daily basis. We have all seen the email sign off which says ‘do you really need to print this message?’ and that is one example of a great step in the right direction. Recycling paper waste produced by the office shredder and through unwanted junk mail is big business and can have a financial impact for a company as well as a positive environmental one. Paper and ink wastage are two of the largest misuses of office resources in this country, so do your bit to change this as soon as you can.

Purchasing managers are largely responsible for implementing ecological changes to office policy on the ‘shop floor’ and this can mean anything from a drive to encourage paper-free working to a change in the brand of teabags in the staff room. Paper shredders will always be important when the focus is on recycling so include a plan to encourage better paper recycling in any operation to improve environmentally friendly working practice.

Corporate social responsibility can also be about deploying your company’s assets to the greater good as well. Freeing up your employees time to volunteer to do charity work or donating goods to worthy causes are just a couple of ways in which to do this. Think laterally about ways to make a difference and the business will be rewarded as well through positive public relations and staff morale: both well worth it. Start planning to make a difference now – you won’t regret it.

As we know good planets are hard to find and there is no way but don’t blow it. The fact is nature provides all what we need, but only if we control our appetites. There are many ecology projects called to raise awareness about issues related to ecology problems and find ways to improve the global environment.

No doubt all actions should start from your own life, from your own home though it were buying local and recycling products, watching the carbon use, learning about the supplements you can live without and those you can't and generally trying to think ecologically in any ways you do. For instance your cell phone, laptop or any electronic device you use is also a part of the problem, at least because it needs energy. Join the challenge to make a real impact on climate change with your own behaviour, because that is the only chance for success.

All of us love technology and at the same time it is understood pretty well that there is a direct close link between technology and environment. The question is what can we do to save our planet? How can we using all these great today’s technologies help to save our planet’s resources?

The fact is Mother Nature knows best and there is no such thing any more as a free lunch. Today if you don’t put something into the ecology, it’s not there.

When I ask myself what can I personally do for the better of this planet I see that I can do a lot. First of all one should begin to calculate the emissions and be terrified! Don’t you know that each person throws away approximately four pounds of garbage every day! Then I am willing to try to reduce my carbon footprint as much as possible – though it were my house, office, car, travel, shopping or something else. Buy products in recycled and recyclable containers. Save energy not only with using of energy saving light bulbs but just turning off the lights when you leave a room and your computer at the end of the day. Actually there are many ideas each one can use to start to change high carbon lifestyle to a green way of life. Come what come may – we just can’t allow any more.

Eco technology also called as sustainable technology uses different form of energy like wind, solar power and converts it into usable form like electricity. It only brings to use the renewable energy instead of the fossil fuels that are not only renewable but are also increasing the carbon content on the planet that leads to global warming. People have now realized that how important it is to save these fossil fuels that are depleting at a rapid rate or else the future ahead does not seem to be bright. Using eco technology as an alternative is one of the best ways to do so. While putting it to use for various purposes, the consumers started demanding the car manufacturers as well to develop eco cars. Thus car manufacturers started developing cars based on green technology and the world saw the advent of electric and hybrid cars.

The cars based on hybrid engines was available since the year 1997 which was launched by Toyota but back then they were not so popular. There were basically two main reasons for that; one the fuels were available at very low prices and these hybrid cars were expensive. Now Ford has also entered the market of hybrid cars with its new model the Ford C-Max. The world will see the launch of this vehicle in late 2012 or early 2013 and is assumed to give a tough time to its competitors. The car will be assembled in US that will also boost up the country's economy creating many job opportunities. Ford is taking its endeavor quite seriously as the factory in which the cars will be manufactured also use machines that bring into use renewable energies only. The C-MAX will use lithium-ion batteries which are lighter in weight and are smaller too. The engine will be based on the V4 Atkinson-cycle. The car could be run in the electric mode up to a certain speed and after that the tradition engine takes over especially on faster speeds. The car will be available in two variants – a hybrid version and a plug-in hybrid version. Both the cars are assumed to four-seaters. The plug-in version will have an option for quick recharge by plugging it into a 120 volt outlet. The car is also expected to give a fuel efficiency of up to forty seven miles per gallon or even higher. The car has already created some buzz in the automobile industry and people are eagerly waiting for it.

By 2011, according to some predictions, we should have been piloting flying cars and using domestic robots to clean our houses.

Sadly, those things have not yet come true. And neither has the paperless office.

The concept has been around since computers were first introduced into the workplace. And now that so much data can be stored on devices as small as a flash drive, the use of paper should theoretically have been reduced dramatically.

It seems, though, that we still can’t help printing things out.

And while data security is a prime concern of every business, the same care and attention is rarely invested into company shredding policies.

It’s something, though, that can have a big environmental impact.

When it comes to buying an office shredder, it’s possible to choose one that consumes less power than its rivals.

It could also contain some recycled parts, making it a truly greener option than most.

Chiefly, though, it is about turning unwanted items of paper into recycled waste that can be used for a large variety of purposes.

So even though the paperless office is still some way off, we can have a green office.

Rather than just throwing paper away, it’s important to recycle wherever possible. Having a set company policy on such matters ensures that staff members are encouraged to think green.

The more it’s possible to get the average employee to consider the environment, rather than just carelessly toss a screwed-up ball of paper into the waste paper basket, the better we are planning for the future.

When it comes to buying green products for the office – right up to buying a commercial grade shredder – vendors should know that there are larger stores offering good deals on delivery.

Office Depot, for instance, gives free next business day delivery on qualifying purchases over $50.

Buying with such a big online store is also good for the environmental impact. Because they stock so many excellent lines, it means you can buy multiple items at the same time and have them all delivered at the same time. That cuts down on the environmental impact of your purchases, and is a classic case of green shopping.
